Monday Prayer Closet- Bless the Lord

Evening Diva Sisters, I am so blessed to bring you this week's devotional.  The first Monday of the month, I want to focus on the different prayers that we are to pray.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Eph 6:18

One of the biggest types of prayer is a prayer of worship. Worshiping the Lord focuses on who God is. It is us recognizing God’s power and majesty. So lets start there.

... For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.  Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Psalm 95:3-7

1)Worship is to glorify and exalt God—to show our loyalty and admiration to our Father.

2)Worship is deep with our whole heart, with the Holdy Spirit that is living inside use and with the truth of the Word, its not just lip service. 

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” Jn 4:23-24

3)To bless the Lord is done out of understanding that He alone is genuinely deserving of worship as Creator and Lord. To bless the Lord means to praise, exalt, and worship the Lord God.  34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
