Mon. Prayer Closet: I Thank God

Greetings Sisters and welcome into 2023, may this be a year of revelation and freedom to be all that God has called us to be. Last month, our focus was on the Worship of God. Every morning waking up, we are to worship our Lord and Savior with our first breaths. This is a month of Thanksgiving.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Thanks: expression of gratitude

Gratitude: show appreciation for

Appreciation: recognition for the qualities of someone/something good

WHO are we thanking? Our God, Our Father, Our Savior, Our Friend

WHAT are we thanking Him for? His nature: who HE is. His goodness, love, holiness, righteousness

WHY do we thank Him? To express thanksgiving for our salvation, safety, provision, health, forgiveness, family. Everything we have and everything we are is from Him. We are called to give our thanks to Him.

So putting this in our prayers: First we are worshipping our Father, aka the reverence and adoration we have for Him. Next part of our prayer is Thanksgiving, aka gratitude and appreciation.
