the Journey- Prayer

Good evening Sisters, I am praying that you are all having a good week. I am wrapping up our Being Fearless with a Faithful God devotional series, I cant believe 3 months just flew by. I am also excited for this new opportunity to incorporate a short Bible Study to compliment my Thursday Devotional.

We have been going through the Armor of God these past weeks. For today, we are finishing with Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
There is no coincidence that prayer is added in our arsenal. We must have a two way conversation with our Father. We can't fight this battle without a relationship that involves communication. Prayer is our last weapon.
Pray in the Spirit… We are to pray with all our heart, soul and spirit. This is a fervent prayer, one of purpose, of intent. Also if you have a prayer language with evidence of speaking in tongue, and you are praying alone, this would be an appropriate time to do so.
on all occasions… Praying for everyone, everything, every situation. There is nothing too big or too small that we can’t go to the Father with.
with all kinds of prayers and requests. Our battle will take all kinds of prayer. They will vary depending on the situation. They will be vocal, in our mind, loud, quite, private, public, corporate.
With this in mind… Prayer should be a weapon that we always go to. It shouldn’t be a “I did everything I can think up so I guess, maybe I should pray”, rather, it should be one of our first go to.
be alert and always keep on praying… there are always opportunities to pray, the needs of people in this fallen world are many. Be on guard when you can pray not just for yourself but for others.
for all the Lord’s people. We have all been created in the image of God. The difference is who has accepted Him as Lord and Savior over their lives or hasn’t. But even if they have not, we can still pray for them as we would for ourselves and our family.
Praying in the Spirit is praying according to the Spirit’s leading. God will guide on what or who needs prayer. Romans 8:26 tells us, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.”
It’s time that we get our prayer life with God up and going, and see just how much closer we will be with Him during our battles.
