DLD- 2 Timothy 3:15

 Acts 17:11 Now Berean Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. For them the books were just not words but truth.

Three take aways about the Bereans:

1) they were more fair-minded than others but also clear-minded

2) they received the word with all readiness with open hearts

3) they searched the word daily not just a quick look but with extended study

We are called to do the exact same. We will want to know His Word of Truth if we live in the Spirit of fear the Lord. The fear of the Lord brings us into a close intimate relationship with Him.

2 Timothy 2:15 tells us that we are to: Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.

As believers, the Word of God is our daily inspiration, teaching and correcting. It is our sword in the battle of this life. God has placed this deep desire to look at scripture and study in depth, the Hebrew and Greek. There is so much more if we just take the time to be diligent and look. I pray you join me in "digging a little deeper", to go through and keep extending into the Word, so we may be knowledgeable and equip for anything that may take place in this short span of life.
